PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and cost of a dynamo-electric machine, by reducing the number of position sensors (angle sensors), such as a phase detector or a resolver.SOLUTION: A dynamo-electric machine includes a stator 24, a main rotor element 40 and a sub-rotor 42 arranged oppositely in the direction of the axis of rotation, and the sub-rotor 42 includes a rotor rotatable relatively to the main rotor 40. Angle of the sub-rotor 42 is detected by an angle sensor 72. The main rotor 40 is not provided with an angle sensor or a phase difference detector, but is considered to rotate at a constant speed in the unlocked state, calculated from the angle and angular speed of the sub-rotor 42 detected by the angle sensor 72. |
