PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable connection device capable of preventing transmission failure due to signal collision, even when an optical cord is connected to a media converter by mistake.SOLUTION: An optical cable connector comprises: an optical branching section for branching an inputted signal light beam into a plurality of signal light beams; an opto-electrical conversion section for converting a first signal light beam from the optical branching section into an electric signal; a state determination section for determining a state of the inputted signal light beam, whether an ON state or an OFF state, on the basis of a signal strength value of the electric signal converted by the opto-electrical conversion section; a state prolonging section for prolonging the OFF state determined by the state determination section for a predetermined time period; and a light blocking section for transmitting or blocking a second signal light beam from the optical branching section on the basis of a state signal from the state prolonging section. |
