PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorption device, a seat belt retractor, and a seat belt device which can vary an energy absorption amount in accordance with the increase or decrease in a rotational speed between objects that relatively rotate, and can improve durability.SOLUTION: An energy absorption device comprises: a casing 2 connected to one object; an annular first clutch disc 3 disposed inside the casing 2; an annular second clutch disc 4 disposed inside the casing 2; and an annular clutch plate 5 connected to the other object and having an engagement surface 50 which faces both the first clutch disc 3 and the second clutch disc 4. By engaging an engaging external tooth 31 of the first clutch disc 3 and an engaging inner tooth 41 of the second clutch disc 4 alternately with an engaging tooth 51 of the clutch plate 5, energy generated by the relative rotational movement between one object and the other object is absorbed.
