The present invention relates to a functional garment fabric and a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method includes: a sewing pattern design step of designing a sewing pattern to make a garment; a low-density and high-density area setting step of separating the designed sewing pattern into low-density and high-density areas to mark which areas are to have functionality; a base fabric weaving step of weaving the base of the garment fabric to be marked with the sewing pattern; and an additional weaving step of conducting one or more additional weaving operation to form a high-density tissue on the parts corresponding to the high-density areas in the garment sewing pattern on the base fabric.
