The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling a terminal in a wireless communication system. The method for controlling the terminal according to the present invention includes the steps of: receiving a control signal from a base station; determining an almost blank subframe (ABS) based on the control signal and determining whether a downlink server is received from the base station; and performing a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation in an ABS section if the downlink service is not received from the base station. The ABS section is a section to enable the base station to transmit a subframe with limited transmission power. In the DRX operation, the subframe transmitted from the base station is not received.
