<p>The present invention aims to operate an electronic device installed in a certain place only when there is a person in the certain place and stops the operation of the electronic device installed in the certain place when no one is in the certain place. To this end, an apparatus for controlling an electronic device by using a far infrared sensor includes: a far infrared sensor unit including a far infrared sensor detecting far infrared rays emitted from a human body; an analyzing unit analyzing the sensed far infrared rays and generating analysis information; a control signal generation unit generating a control signal controlling the electronic device by using the analysis information; and an electronic device communications unit controlling the operation of the electronic device by using the control signal.</p> |
