The invention provides a method and device for providing device identification. The method includes the following steps of detecting whether the device identification is stored in a memorizer of an inspection device or not, generating the device identification if the device identification is not stored in the memorizer, and returning the generated device identification to a specific application. According to the technical scheme, the provided device identification is high in reliability, and the application can reliably obtain and maintain the device identification when inquiring about, feeding back and renewing the device identification. |
