<p>Disclosed are devices, systems, and methods of testing the basic functionality and programming of the electronic trip unit of a microprocessor based circuit breaker using a battery operated hand held test kit. The proposed kit is designed in a manner to make it user friendly, compact and portable. The front display is kept simple in order to reduce the complexity of programming an ETU. It may be designed in a way that minimally skilled personnel will efficiently be able to program an ETU on Field. A hand held device (11) or a battery operated hand held test kit comprises of a five pin connector (5), a power LED (6), an indicator LED (7), a trip indicator LED (10), and at least three switches to test said ETU (2), wherein said at least three switches comprises of a push button switch (12), a slide switch (8), and an edge switch (9).</p> |
