The invention provides a connecting shaft 30 of an excavating and stirring shaft for a foundation modifying device. The foundation modifying device comprises the excavating and stirring shaft supported in a manner of capable of being lifted along a guide pillar, a drive rotating the excavating and stirring shaft during lifting, and a plurality of short connecting shafts 30 connected to be the long excavating and stirring shaft. On a hull, the plurality of connecting shafts 30 are sequentially connected on the upper end of the excavating and stirring shaft and the upper end 33 of the connecting shaft connected to the upper end of the excavating and stirring shaft. The excavating and stirring shaft is inserted in to the modified foundation in the sea to a preset depth, and curing material is discharged from a discharge portion of the excavating and stirring shaft to inject in the modified foundation. The excavation earth and curing material in the modified foundation are fixed to build a modified pillar through the curing of the curing material. A curing material supplying path 32 through from the upper end to the lower end is arranged shaft body 31 of the connecting shaft, and a switching valve 35 opening and closing the path is arranged on the lower end of the shaft body. |
