Disclosed are a piezoelectric element and a piezoelectric transducer including the same. The piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric body formed by laminating multiple ceramic layers; an internal electrode formed on the surface of each of the ceramic layers; and a pair of cover layers respectively formed on the upper and lower parts of the piezoelectric body to protect the internal electrode. At least one of the cover layers includes: multiple crystal grains; and crack suppressing particles which are arranged on the boundaries of the crystal grains to prevent the cracks in the cover layers from spreading.
