PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method of detecting double-stranded amplification nucleic acid that makes it possible to detect nucleic acid in real time by a more convenient method than publicly known real-time detection methods.SOLUTION: A double-stranded amplification nucleic acid detecting method comprises the steps of amplifying template nucleic acid in the presence of an ionic intercalator intercalated into double-stranded nucleic acid and using an ion selective electrode having sensitivity to the ionic intercalator to measure a potential of nucleic acid amplification reaction solution in real time.
