Provided is an electric power steering device that can reduce noise in a steering torque signal regardless of various conditions. To said end, the electric power steering device (1) is provided with: a torque detection means (14) that has a means (16) for detecting the rotational angle of an output shaft and a means (15) or detecting the rotational angle of an input shat that individually detect the rotational angle of the output shaft (2c) and input shaft (2a) coupled by a torsion bar (2b) provided to the steering system of the vehicle; an electric motor (12) that is controlled on the basis of the torque detection value output by the torque detection means (14) and that generates steering auxiliary force with respect to the output shaft (2c); a means (17) for motor rotational angle detection that detects the rotational angle of the electric motor (12); and a noise suppression means (20a) that reduces noise using the motor rotational angle detected by the means (17) for motor rotational angle detection with respect to the output shaft rotational angle signal detected by the means (16) for detecting the rotational angle of the output shaft.
