A therapeutic pressure system includes a plurality of field individually addressable electroactive polymer actuators formed integrally with or as an overlay to a surface, an array of pressure sensors placed at the surface, and a control for applying a differential voltage between an anode and a cathode of a selected actuator to control a pressure in the actuator.
