A method for estimating the autonomy of an electric vehicle. The present invention concerns a method for estimating the autonomy of an electric or hybrid vehicle on a predefined journey, the method including a step of estimating the energy available in the traction battery of the vehicle depending on the temperature of said battery. The method according to the invention includes a step of calculating a value representative of the change in the temperature of the battery during the journey, said value being used to estimate the available energy.
