PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility of a user's erroneous recognition that an image not intended by the user is being imaged, in the case of performing through image display of a zoom position at a position differing from that corresponding to an angle of view with which actual imaging is performed.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: zoom control means for performing control so as to shift a zoom position from a first position, which is a zoom position before starting the function, to a second position according to instruction means's instruction to start a function of temporarily changing the zoom position, and performing control so as to shift the zoom position from the second position to the first position according to the instruction means's instruction to finish the function; and display control means for performing, during an imaging standby state, control so as to perform display showing an imaging range in the case of taking the first position as the zoom position in performing through image display when the zoom position is made to be the second position by the function, and performing, during imaging of a moving picture, control so as not to perform display showing the imaging range even when the zoom position is made to be the second position by the function. |
