In a linear motor heat release structure in which a coil (15) wound around a rectangular tubular bobbin (14) is mounted on each of a plurality of teeth (12) arranged linearly at predetermined intervals, a heat release member (17) for conducting and releasing heat generated in the coil (15) to the outside is disposed between adjacent coils (15). The heat release member (17) is sandwiched by parts of the coils (15) which are projected outward by the elastic force of the coils (15) in a curved shape between the edges of the rectangular tubular bobbin (14). This makes it possible to reduce, even when there is component tolerance or assembly tolerance, variations in the quality of contact between the coils (15) and the heat release member (17) by absorbing the tolerances by the elastic deformation of the projected parts of the coils (15), thereby enabling high heat release performance to be stably obtained. |
