This object is achieved with a connector (1) for connecting cellular electrical elements (20), comprising a cover-like carrier element (2) and a covering element (3), at least one contact element (4) being arranged in the carrier element (2), a connector element (34) being provided in the edge region of the carrier element (2), a film conductor (3) for contacting the contact element (4) with the connector element (34) being arranged in the carrier element, the carrier element (2) having weld openings (7) and the covering element (40) being constructed in such a manner that the weld openings (7) of the carrier element (2) can be covered therewith.
