摘要 This radiation monitor has a high-energy count-rate-measurement functional unit (22a, 22b), a low-energy count-rate-measurement functional unit (23), and alert-diagnosis functional unit (24). An alert from the high-energy count-rate-measurement functional unit (22a, 22b) and a low-energy count rate from the low-energy count-rate-measurement functional unit (23) are inputted to the alert-diagnosis functional unit (24). Synchronized on the transmission of the aforementioned alert, the alert-diagnosis functional unit (24) determines whether or not the aforementioned low-energy count rate is within a set acceptable range. If so, the alert-diagnosis functional unit (24) determines that the alert was caused by fluctuation, and if the low-energy count rate increases beyond the aforementioned acceptable range, the alert-diagnosis functional unit (24) determines that the alert was caused by either an increase in gamma rays being measured or the encroachment of noise. The result of the determination is then outputted by the alert-diagnosis functional unit (24).
