The present invention relates to a transparent protective film and a polarizing film and liquid-crystal display device including the same. The present invention has the elongation which is less than or equal to 2.5% according to equation 1, or the horizontal direction rupture moisture permeance which is less than or equal to 800 according to equation 2. In the equation 1, elongation (%) = vertical direction (MD) elongation + horizontal direction (TD) elongation. In the equation 2, a coefficient of horizontal direction rupture moisture permeance = (thickness of the protective film (μm) x moisture permeability (g/m^2/day) x horizontal direction (TD) rupture elongation (%))^(1/2).
