摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic EL element with which an auxiliary electrode having a large thickness can be easily formed to be narrower in space as compared with film formation based on sputtering and direct drawing based on silver paste, and also pollution of an organic light emission layer due to formation of the auxiliary electrode can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an organic EL element comprises a sealing material arranging step of providing a sealing material 11 on the surface of a substrate 1, and an auxiliary electrode forming step of forming an auxiliary electrode 3 on the surface of a first conduction layer 20 after the sealing material arranging step. In the sealing material arranging step, the sealing material 11 is formed on the surface of the substrate 1 so that a part of the first conduction layer 20 is exposed to the outside of the sealing material 11 as an electrode forming portion 30. In the auxiliary electrode forming step, the auxiliary electrode 3 is formed on the surface of the electrode forming portion 30 by electrolytic plating.</p>
