Disclosed are a service function chaining (SFC) processing method and device, the method comprising: the SFC receives a packet sent by a forwarding device; the SFC generates a forwarding table corresponding to the packet; the SFC sends the forwarding table to the forwarding device when the preset issuing switch status of the forwarding table is on, so that the forwarding device forwards the packet according to the forwarding table after receiving the packet, the issuing switch of the forwarding table being used to instruct the SFC whether to send the forwarding table to the forwarding device. The present invention improves the success rate of SFC forwarding data.
