An automobile silencer (1), formed by press molding, has first and second molded surfaces (11, 12) on opposite sides relative to each other in a thickness direction (D3), a shock-absorbing material (40) in which fibers (44) are oriented in the thickness direction (D3) is inserted into a fiber assembly (30) having a different fiber orientation than does the shock-absorbing material (40), and the automobile silencer (1) has a layered section (10) in which the shock-absorbing material (40) is partially layered over the fiber assembly (30). A concave part (31) is formed in the outer surface of the fiber assembly (30), and the shock-absorbing material (40) may be inserted into the concave part (31). |
