This medical treatment liquid storage container (1) is formed by biaxial stretch blow molding of a preform and is provided, in order from the lower end to the upper end, with: a discharge section (21); a cylindrical lower section (22); a cylindrical body section (23) with body section sides (26a, 26b); and a cylindrical upper section (24) with shoulder sections (25a, 25b). The container is provided with a shoulder region (51) in which the distance between the shoulder sections is 90% of the maximum distance (W1) between the two body section sides. The length (W2) of the long axis of the shoulder section in a horizontal cross-section of the shoulder region is 2-8 times the height (H1a) of the shoulder section in the vertical direction, the height being the length in the vertical direction between the top end of the cylindrical upper section and the shoulder region, and the length of the perimeter of the shoulder section in the horizontal cross-section of the shoulder region (51) is 2.1-2.7 times the length (W2) of the long axis of the shoulder section. |
