PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deciding an optimum radiation dose level considering both the patient size and target image quality for each of specific diagnostic tasks in CT imaging.SOLUTION: An object to be imaged is arranged in a CT system, a scan method in reference tube voltage corresponding to a desired image quality level is selected (204), a noise restriction parameter is selected in accordance with a diagnostic task (206), dose efficiency in each tube voltage is decided by using characteristics of the object and the noise restriction parameter (210), and a CT scan condition which does not exceed the limit of system power and whose scan time is practical is selected by using the tube voltage having the best dose efficiency (216). |
