In the present invention, a database management system determines, on the basis of the state in which the same is executed, whether exhibited performance, which is the performance exhibited by executing the current query, satisfies prescribed conditions continuously at and after a given point in time. When the result of the determination is true, if there is an execution-awaiting query, the database management system starts executing the execution-pending query before the currently executing query is completed.
