The present invention relates to methods for the treatment of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for treating T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia comprising the steps of i) determining the expression level of c-MYC in a tumor sample obtained from the subject, ii) comparing the expression level determined at step i) with a predetermined reference value and iii) administering the subject with a therapeutically effective amount of at least one agent selected from the group consisting of BET bromodomain inhibitors and HDAC inhibitors when the level determined at step i) is higher than the predetermined reference value.
