In order to be able to withstand the chemical and mechanical stresses during the cleaning of machines that are used in foodstuff processing, an identification panel (10) has a first, upper plastic layer (11) in a first colour and at least one second plastic layer (12), situated below the first plastic layer (11), in a second colour, with depressions (13) in the first, upper plastic layer (11) that extend as far as the second, lower plastic layer (12) being provided by removing material, in order to show characters or symbols. A method for producing such an identification panel (10) provides for depressions (13) to be made in the first plastic layer (11) by removing material, in order to produce characters or symbols, wherein the depressions (13) extend through the first plastic layer (11) at least as far as the second plastic layer (12). |
