[Problem] To reduce power loss of a wind turbine blade and reduce aerodynamic noise due to the wind turbine blade by reducing the blade tip vortex generated at the blade end of the wind turbine blade and generating the blade tip vortex in a location away from the blade end of the wind turbine blade. [Solution] A wind turbine blade (11) that is used in a lift-type horizontal axis wind turbine comprises: a blade body (12) with a streamlined cross section for which chord length of the blade is gradually reduced from the blade root (15) to the blade tip (16); and a small blade (25) that has a sharp tip (28) and that is integrally provided on the blade tip (16) of the blade body (12). The shape of the small blade (25) is configured so that the tip (28) is further behind in the direction of rotation than the rear edge (19) of the blade tip (16) of the blade body (12) and is positioned on the outside in the blade length direction of the blade body (12). Since the pressure differential between the top and bottom faces of the blade tip of the wind turbine blade (11) can be made small, the blade tip vortex generated at the blade end of the wind turbine blade (11) can be reduced and be generated in a location away from the blade end, and power loss and generation of aerodynamic noise can be reduced.
