An objective of the present invention is to allow generating a feasible design solution (configuration) in response to a request specification in a short time, and to shorten a period for estimation and design. Provided is a configuration design device, comprising: a request specification acceptance unit which accepts a request specification; a configuration recommendation generating unit which determines a configuration recommendation of a subject system with the accepted request specification as a condition, on the basis of configuration determination rules; and a configuration recommendation output unit which outputs the configuration recommendation which is generated by the configuration recommendation generating means. The generated configuration specification is evaluated with a configuration recommendation evaluation means. The evaluation result and the request specification are compared, and an assessment is made as to whether the request specification is satisfied. A level change rule which is stored in a change method storage unit is extracted on the basis of the result of the assessment. The level of the configuration recommendation rules used by the configuration recommendation generating unit is changed, and the configuration recommendation generating unit is made to generate the configuration recommendation with rules of the changed level. |
