The invention relates to a flip-flop that has been improved to overcome the disadvantages of its overly informal appearance in formal environments, and to avoid the need to carry two pairs of different footwear for each environment, said flip-flop having a sole, at least two securing straps secured by the lateral end portions thereof to respective opposing lateral portions of the sole, and converging front end portions coupled at at least one common anchoring point in the front portion of the sole, said flip-flop also comprising a securing ribbon interwoven with the front end portions of the lateral straps and folded, when the flip-flop is secured to the foot of the user, such that the flip-flop has a front linking section, respective lateral linking sections, a rear linking section, and a joining zone where the free ribbon ends are coupled to one another. |
