A saw assembly (1200) including a housing (1232), a motor (1208), a first bevel gear (1212), and a second bevel gear (1216). The motor (1208) is located in the housing (1232) and includes a motor shaft (1236) configured for rotation relative to the housing (1232). The first bevel gear (1212) is operably connected to the motor shaft (1236) for rotation with the motor shaft (1236). The second bevel gear (1216) is operably engaged with the first bevel gear (1212), such that rotation of the first bevel gear (1212) causes rotation of the second bevel gear (1216). An arbor assembly (1220) is operably connected to the second bevel gear (1216). The arbor assembly (1220) is accessible for mounting an accessory (296) thereto from an accessory side (1268) of the housing (1232). The arbor assembly (1220) defines a first axis of rotation (1252). The first bevel gear (1212) is located between the second bevel gear (1216) and the accessory side (1268) of the housing (1232) along the first axis of rotation (1252).
