PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor device which can perform digital printing on articles continuously transferred without giving a harmful effect to the quality of a printing image, and a method of transferring an article.SOLUTION: In a conveyor device, a vacuum is made to selectively act only on a plenum chamber supplied to an opening covered with a sheet from a manifold chamber so that a vacuum from an adjacent belt opening 22 which is not covered prevents an ink from a printer 14 from moving from a target position on a sheet, a supply device 16 with the matching timing supplies sheets having a prescribed gap to a conveyor in synchronization with a conveyor speed, the conveyor transfers the sheets so that the belt opening does not exist in the gap, a sensor counts the number of openings 22 in a belt 20 and operates the supply device 16 with a prescribed time interval. |
