PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide solidification technologies with alternatives to phosphate ester and nitrilotriacetic acid, which has been used for adjustment of, e.g., solidification speed of a solid block in conventional solid alkaline detergents.SOLUTION: A solidification matrix includes a straight chain saturated carboxylic acid salt, sodium carbonate, and water. The straight chain saturated carboxylic acid salt is selected from a salt of a mono-, di-, or tri-carboxylic acid. The solidification matrix may be used in a solid detergent composition, and may be employed in any of a wide variety of situations in which a dimensionally stable solid product is desired. |
