PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye which generates little foreign matter, is capable of forming a color filter having high quality and excellent heat resistance, is used for a colored curable resin composition, and is excellent in solubility in an organic solvent.SOLUTION: The dye has a group containing a silicon atom and has a squarylium skeleton. The dye is preferably a compound represented by formula (II).
