<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a modulator of GPIb-thrombin interaction in a sample in the field of coagulation diagnostics.SOLUTION: An isolated mutant GPIbα-protein containing at least amino acid residues 1-268, when being compared with a wild type sequence of a human GPIbα-protein, and having a substitution Xaa on at least one spot between positions of 233, 235, 237 and 239 (sequence No.1), isolated thrombin and a sample are brought into contact with each other, and complex formation between the mutant GPIbα-protein and the thrombin is measured.</p> |
