PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker preventing a user from forgetting to start rice cooking or to start cooking after a pot charged with a cooking object is set in a rice cooker body.SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a rice cooker body; a pot which is housed in the rice cooker body and in which water and rice or other food are charged; a heating coil 16 and a cord heater 18 which heat the pot; a pot temperature sensor 17 which detects the temperature of the pot; heating control means 111 which controls the heating coil 16 and the cord heater 18; weight detection means 400 which detects the weight of the pot; and lid open-close detection means 300 which detects open-close of the lid. The weight of an empty pot is prestored and a buzzer 402 as notification means makes notification when an operation switch 103 as operation means is not operated after setting the pot having weight equal to or more than the weight of the empty pot and closing the lid, so that alarm sound emitted by the buzzer 402 prevents a user from forgetting to start rice cooking or to start cooking after setting the pot. |
