?The invention relates to thermal insulation technology, and specifically to thermally insulated reservoirs, especially reservoirs which are vertical, made of steel, have a volume of between 200 and 20,000 cubic meters, and are intended for storing petroleum and petroleum products. The proposed thermally insulated reservoir includes a thermally insulated wall, roof and base, which base is installed on a foundation; the thermally insulated wall and roof of the reservoir are provided with supporting, stress-relieving belts which are positioned so as to form tiers, with a thermally insulating covering consisting of blocks of foamed glass, said blocks filling-in the tiers, with the formation of expansion joints in the thermally insulating covering, and with a coating layer, made of metal sheets, which is positioned on the outer surface of the blocks of foamed glass; the foamed-glass blocks of the bottom tier are removable so as to provide access to a circumferential weld between the wall and the base, whereas, in the other tiers, the blocks are affixed to the surface of the reservoir and are connected to one another using an adhesive material. The technical result consists of providing for the safety and durability of the thermal insulation of a reservoir in the presence of loads acting upon the structure thereof, said loads caused by filling and draining raw material, and also by climatic factors, while maintaining the temperature conditions of the product being stored.
