PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact surface mounting type optical sensor that can efficiently receive light at a light reception portion of the optical sensor.SOLUTION: In an optical sensor, a base substrate 2 has a light transmissible portion which is formed of a transparent material having light permeability and constructed by a light incident portion formed at an exposed portion of a lower surface 2b of the base substrate 2, and a light emission portion formed at an exposed portion of an upper surface 2a of the base substrate 2, a lid substrate 3 has a reflection portion 40 which is formed of metal for reflecting incident light from the light transmissible portion and covers the inner surface of a recess portion of the lid substrate 3, and the surface roughness of the reflection face of the reflection portion is smaller than the surface roughness of the inner surface 3a of the recess portion. |
