PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit in which the degree of freedom of connection between light source units is enhanced by increasing and decreasing the number of LED elements easily, and shortening the wire for connecting them.SOLUTION: A light source unit 1 includes a base 2, and a substrate 3 disposed on the base 2 excepting the mounting region 2a, and on which wiring patterns 4, 5 are formed along the mounting region 2a. Light emitting diode elements 6 are connected in series to form blocks, and respective blocks are mounted in the mounting region 2a while spaced apart from each other. Since the a plurality of LED elements 6 are connected in series to form the LED element blocks 6B, and a plurality of the LED element blocks 6B are provided, the amount of light can be adjusted by increasing and decreasing the number of LED elements 6 or the number of LED element blocks 6B easily. Since the LED elements 6 are arranged to be stretched between the wiring patterns 4, 5, the wires 7, 8 can be shortened. |
