A heat exchanger equipped with multiple stacked tubes (1) in the interior of which a refrigerant flows, and fins (2) which are joined to the tubes and increase the surface area where heat is exchanged with air flowing around the tubes. The cross-sectional shape of the fins perpendicular to the airflow direction is a wavy shape having multiple flat parts (21) substantially parallel to the airflow direction and apex parts (22) connecting the adjacent flat parts. The flat parts of the fins are provided with gaps (27, 28, and 29). In a cross section of the fins perpendicular to the stacking direction of the tubes, when the positions where the shortest distance (L) from the center line (C2) between adjacent flat parts has the maximum value are designated as the remotest parts (24-26), the gaps are provided on one remotest part (26) or on at least one of the multiple remotest parts (24-26). |
