This connector (1) is provided with: an elastic valve body (3) having a top surface (10) in which a slit (9) is formed and also having a bottom surface (11) which is on the reverse side of the top surface (10); and a gripping section (48) in contact with the top surface (10) and bottom surface (11) of the elastic valve body (3) and gripping the elastic valve body (3). When the elastic valve body (3) is viewed from the top surface (10) side, the gripping section (48) is provided so as to surround the slit (9), and the elastic valve body (3) has a peripheral edge section (14) located outside the position where the elastic valve body (3) is gripped by the gripping section (48). The volume (V1) of the peripheral edge section (14) while the elastic valve body (3) is gripped by the gripping section (48) is greater than the volume (V2) of the peripheral edge section (14) while the elastic valve body (3) is not gripped by the gripping section (48).
