A cell activation method and device. The invention relates to the technical field of wireless communications, solving a problem of the existing power-saving method having a poor effect. The method comprises: obtaining, by a transmission node, information about an adjacent cell, wherein the information comprises one or more of the following types of information: cell coverage area, position information parameters, current activation type and load information; determining or updating, by the transmission node, the activation type of the adjacent cell and/or its own activation type of the transmission node; notifying, by the transmission node, the determined or updated activation type to the corresponding adjacent cell. The above-mentioned technical solution applies to an LTE system, achieving flexible management of cell activation methods. |
