An ultrasound monitoring device for detecting cavitation and a method therefor are disclosed. The ultrasound monitoring device, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a transducer for irradiating an object with a high-intensity ultrasound and receiving, as a backscattering signal, a cavitation state generated from the object by the high-intensity ultrasound; and a signal analysis unit for analyzing the backscattering signal received through the transducer so as to calculate a change in the intensity of a noise signal included in the backscattering signal.
