The present invention is provided with a plurality of servo-drive destackers (1) and a unit for controlling the destackers (1). A vacuum-chucking part of the destacker (1) is lowered to the upper surface of a stack, whereupon a thin-plate body is lifted up while being vacuum-chucked by the vacuum-chucking part, and the thin-plate body that has been vacuum-chucked is transferred to an upper transportation device (first blank feeder (31)). The control unit measures the distance between the vacuum-chucking part of the destacker (1) and the upper surface of the stack when the first thin plate body is to be conveyed, and the measured distance is used as an index when the second or later thin-plate bodies are conveyed. The control unit calculates, on the basis of the distance, the distance between the vacuum-chucking part of the destacker (1) and the new upper surface of the stack, and rapidly lowers the destacker (1) by the calculated distance. It is thereby possible to provide a thin-plate-body-conveying device capable of rapidly and accurately lowering the vacuum-chucking parts of the destackers to the surface of the stack when second or later thin-plate bodies in the stack are to be conveyed. |
