<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the pull-out operability of a sheet discharge tray inexpensively and prevent deterioration of a stacking property in printing in a state where the sheet discharge tray has been pulled out.SOLUTION: An automatic sheet discharge tray device comprises: a sheet discharge tray 1 which is movable between a position inside an apparatus body 2 of an image formation apparatus and a position outside the apparatus body 2 of the image formation apparatus, and can be held at both positions; tray movement means which moves the sheet discharge tray 1; a step elimination mechanism 15 which eliminates a step in a sheet discharge surface generated at the time when the sheet discharge tray 1 is at the position outside the apparatus body 2; a lock mechanism 16 which locks and releases the movement of the sheet discharge tray 1; and a speed maintenance mechanism 17 which maintains the movement speed of the sheet discharge tray 1. The automatic sheet discharge tray device does not require other drive sources since a pull-out operation of the sheet discharge tray 1 is performed with the elastic restoration force of a spring 13, maintains a tray speed with an inexpensive gear damper, and eliminates the step in the sheet discharge surface with the step elimination mechanism.</p> |
