In a three-phase electric motor, an insulator (40) for insulating nine or more stator teeth from conducting wires wound around the teeth is provided with: parallel connection slits (53, 64, 69) used as lead out portions for conducting wires only when a parallel connection is made; serial connection slits (55, 66, 71) used as lead out portions for conducting wires only when a serial connection is made; and shared slits (51, 52, 54, 56-63, 65, 67, 68, 70) used as lead out portions for the conducting wires both when the serial connection is made and when the parallel connection is made. |
