PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor in which a sensor element is prevented from being damaged.SOLUTION: A gas sensor comprises: a sensor element 100; a substantially tubular main metal fixture that encloses a periphery of the sensor element in a radial direction in such a shape as to expose a detection part of the sensor element; internal components 35 and 39 that are held inside the main metal fixture and have an axis hole 35a and an axial hole 39a into which the sensor element is inserted; and a compression powder body, being a compressed powder body which is compressed and filled, which is disposed so as to make contact with a front end facing surface or a rear end facing surface of the internal components inside the main metal fixture. A minimum distance d2 between an outer surface of the sensor element and an inner peripheral surface of the axis hole is 0.10 mm or more. |
