A light curtain installation method for the purpose of adjusting or confirming the installation state of a light curtain for detecting operations with respect to a display device screen. This method includes: a determination step, wherein a determination is made regarding whether an object, which is in contact with a target region in the screen corresponding to a reference pixel (which is a pixel in a predetermined region), can be detected; and a notification step, wherein the driving state of the reference pixel is changed in accordance with the result of that determination.
