The present invention achieves an S box as a small nonlinear conversion processing device. The device has a first nonlinear conversion layer, a linear conversion layer, and a second nonlinear conversion layer. The second nonlinear conversion layer has an inverse function of the first nonlinear conversion layer. The first nonlinear conversion layer and the second nonlinear conversion layer each have two exclusive logical sum units and two basic operators. The two basic operators included in the first nonlinear conversion layer and the second nonlinear conversion layer are a combination of any of the same type of an AND operator, OR operator, NAND operator, and NOR operator or a combination of different types of operators. The small S box may be achieved by, for example, a total of four exclusive logical sum units and four NOR elements. |
