<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more robust distortion detection of contrast reduction and noise superposition in a projected pattern image.SOLUTION: An image projection device includes: image signal input means which inputs an image signal of an image projected on a projection surface; pattern image generation means which generates a pattern image formed by a predetermined pattern shape; projection means which projects the pattern image onto the projection surface; imaging means which captures the pattern image projected on the projection surface; geometric distortion detection means which calculates a correction parameter for correcting distortion of the image signal on the basis of the pattern image thus captured; and image distortion correction means which corrects, on the basis of the correction parameter thus calculated, the image signal inputted from the image signal input means. An average luminance of patterns forming the predetermined pattern shape is substantially equal to a luminance of a background forming the predetermined pattern shape.</p> |
